Realizing the potential profit that could come out of this epiphany and baring risk in mind, he courageously left his position at CBS to pursue a career as a booking agent/entertainment consultant where he has come to work with some of the biggest acts in the history of the music business. Amongst his roster are Colby Odonis and Ya Boy, two of AKONS artist’ signed to Konvict Muzik, as well as Dr. Dre's son and west coast prince Curtis Young, Dj Rocky Rock of Black Eye Peas, T-Lopez from Cash Money Records, Bonnie Pointer from Pointer Sisters and Suga Bang from Wu-Tang Clan. Continuing to build his Empire Scott has decided to expand and open his full service company Elv8 Entertainment Solutions Group in New York, home of all possibilities coming to life. Officially set to take off in early 2011, Scott plans to surround his launch around the release of his first international project; Global attack mix tape series with several release parties to promote the global movement being planned in Belgium, London, NYC and Los Angeles. Scott always has his hands full with projects varying between marketing,sponsorships, booking and consulting. Some ventures he’s been working on consist of international compilation cd’s bringing together tracks by artist’ from all regions of the world including Africa, Germany, Spain, France, London and of course the U.S. The first several volumes of this global mix tape series are set for release in early 2011 through Island Def Jam Digital. He has also been hired as the music and marketing supervisor for the Xbox Live video game College Lacrosse, collaborating with XBOX as well as Crosse studios to produce and promote this series of games. Scott has dipped into the artist management side of things as well, currently planning the release of his artist Suga Bang Bangs (formerly of the Wu Tang Clan)new single and 3 song ep featuring Raekwon, Red Café, Sheek Loch, Styles P and Busta Rhymes. In addition to his future endeavors is a sports division within his company in which Scott has confirmed his first client to be NFL player Presscott Burgess of the Baltimore Ravens. SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – June 22, 2010 -- Chargers Linebacker Shaun Phillips today launches a new initiative to raise funds for after-school learning programs nationwide with the opening of his own online store on www.shaunphillips.com, powered by OpenSky. The linebacker and philanthropist will use the shop to sell a limited edition of his favorite peanut butter, NuttZo, to benefit After School All-Stars, a nonprofit organization that provides free after-school programs to nearly 80,000 children across the country. As the first member of his family to graduate from college, Phillips was inspired to raise funds for After School All-Stars to enable other kids find their way to higher education.
Phillips and students at Montgomery Middle School will kick off the fundraising effort today by making hundreds of NuttZo and Jelly sandwiches for The Alpha Project, a local homeless shelter. Via his Twitter page, Phillips is launching a new online store powered by OpenSky, where he will donate $5 to charity for every NuttZo purchase by Charger fans and others around the country. “My twitter following and website give this effort a national audience, and by leveraging the OpenSky platform, we will raise funds for a really great cause,” said Phillips. “It makes perfect sense to me that I can sell a product that I love to raise money that can directly help kids succeed in the classroom and get the skills they need to continue their education in college.”
Shaun’s love of peanut butter began when he needed to gain weight to play football at Purdue University. At only 215 lbs, he needed to reach at least 250 lbs. to play a position such as linebacker. Shaun would eat a peanut butter & jelly sandwich every night before he went to bed and has been hooked on them ever since. Peanut butter helped Shaun achieve his dreams of becoming one of the best linebackers in the NFL!

10 Emcees, 1 Winner, All Proceeds Go to the Charity of The Winner’s Choice
COLLEGE PARK, MD – On Tuesday, March 30, “The Blender w/ Miss DJ Gemz and DJ Tony Drake" on WMUC Radio (University of Maryland, College Park’s FM station) will put on one of the biggest Freestyle Battles to ever hit the DMV! 10 of the area's best rappers are coming together to battle it out for a good cause. All of the proceeds from the event will go to the non-profit charity of the winner’s choice.
What separates this battle from the countless other “freestyle battles” in the DMV? Rather than gathering 10 talented artists who will come and perform verses from their songs (which tends to happen at a lot of freestyle battles), all of the artists have been carefully chosen based on their ability to creatively compose bars on the spot based on current events, their competition’s appearance, and any other topic that immediately comes to mind. One emcee will be announced daily via twitter through Dj Tony Drake (@djtonydrake) and Miss Dj Gemz (@missdjgemz), starting Sunday, March 21 until the day of the competition. All of the emcees have a strong battle background and many of them have been featured on Grind Time Now, The World’s #1 Rap Battle, Scribble Jam, and WorldStarHipHop.com.
The event is free, but charitable donations of at least $3 are recommended to go towards the Grand Prize Donation. There will also be free give-aways provided throughout the event by the event’s various sponsors which include: Mcdonalds, EA Sports, Fuse Box Radio, Community Roots, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., (University of Maryland Chapters), BraeonArt, Art Lyfe Entertainment, Baltimore Scene, Words Beats & Life Inc., Xclusively Yours, and Broccoli City.
If you can’t make it out to the event at the Nyumburu Cultural Center on the University of Maryland’s campus on March 30, it will be broadcasted live on wmucradio.com! That means as long as you have an internet connection you can be a part of this event!
